Today's Cool Site...

Greetings from Earth

No doubt you've heard me extol the virtues of Google Maps. This site is simply amazing!

Google Maps is a lifesaver when you need to find businesses or locations. But its real draw is the satellite imagery.

You can view satellite images of locations all over the world. And now, you can send greetings to friends and family from your virtual travels. At geoGreeting, just enter your message.

The site pulls snapshots from Google Maps. The snapshots are aerial views of buildings. But they look like letters.

After you create your greeting, you can share it. The message is superimposed on a map. You can even click on individual letters. This shows a larger view of the buildings on Google Maps.

Have fun with it!

WOW! EXTRA HOUR THIS WEEKEND!
This Saturday morning, I will be taking your calls for a whole four hours! The extra hour will be broadcast when I take a winter trip. So, if you have a question about something digital, let me help! It takes just three easy steps: 1.) Call the LIVE broadcast. That's this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the East Coast, or, if you live on the West Coast, 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. 2.) Know the phone number. It is, of course, toll-free 1-888-825-5254. 3.) Talk to me. That's all there is to it!
