Citrix makes XenServer free

Who said nothing in life is free? Not Citrix Systems.

Citrix plans to give away XenServer -- its Xen hypervisor, along with
live migration, native Windows and Linux support and other advanced
features -- for free. The company's strategy is to attract more
customers, giving partners the opportunity to offer even more
advanced services.

With some fighting words for VMware, Citrix chief technology officer
Simon Crosby tells SearchSystemsChannel.com that this strategy will
give Citrix a leg up in the market and provide numerous opportunities
