Quick Tips

Control the World

If anyone out there has lost hours of their lives to Google maps, then today's Quick tip is just for you!
I have a blast looking around, especially at street view, but I sometimes find myself getting a little confused at the mouse controls when I'm all zoomed in like that.

Well, it's a good thing you aren't constrained to using the mouse, then! Try some of these keyboard controls in to make your Google map experience a little more keyboard friendly!

Arrow keys: Move the map up, down, left or right.

+ key: Zoom in (you can use = instead of + too)
- key: Zoom out

This is a great alternative to dragging around!

Upgrading To A New PC Down The Road?

Here's A Super Easy Way To Move SOFTWARE To Another Computer!!

We're Talking Point & Click!!!

Almost Gone! Last Day To Order!!

Save A Whoppin' 70%!!

WOW! If you missed out on this yesterday, you gotta get to the site and get yours ordered while you still can! THANK YOU to the HUNDREDS that have already ordered! This has got to be the coolest program EVER! It's called PC Mover and if you're ever, in your lifetime, going to get another computer, you REALLY (and I mean REALLY) need to grab this title!!! PLUS - You're gonna save over 70% off of retail AND you get a USB Link Cable included for FREE! WOW!!

Warning - As of this writing, it looks like today is going to be your last chance to order! Inventory is FLYING out the door and we don't anticipate this going another day! We are trying to get more, but looks like we have all of it.

What's it do? Glad you asked! This software allows you to move the programs and files from your old PC onto your new PC! Here's a video overview (click the picture below - scroll down when you get to the page - it's a YouTube video with a review of the product):

What's got me so excited about this software is that it can actually move programs from one PC to another. Moving files is easy (just use a CD or flash drive), but moving software is always a problem.

First off, trying to move most programs by yourself is all but impossible. Sure, the main program might be under your Program Files folder, but during setup, it probably installed lots of DLL files under your Windows System directory, registered those same files with Windows, maybe it placed shortcuts, added startup items, dropped in templates - well, you get the idea. When most software is installed, you get components and pieces of the software scattered all over your hard drive. Manually finding every part and putting it back on a new computer, placed where it should be and registered with Windows is almost impossible.

Of course, you could sit in front of your computer for hours on end reinstalling all the software that was on your old PC, but talk about a hassle. Finding all the CDs, locating all the serial numbers, downloading updates and sitting around all day just isn't my idea of fun. Besides, I know for a fact that I personally have several programs on my computer right now where the original install CD has been lost! If you fall into that same category, then this software not only saves you tons of time and frustration, but tons of money as well! We took the software for a spin just to see if it works as advertised. Check this out...

Our Test Results - WOW!!!

April, our MS Office Tips writer, just purchased a new Vista PC. Unfortunately, she had tons of programs on her old XP computer - many of which she simply couldn't find the CDs for or that had been downloaded years ago. She was looking at literally hundreds of dollars in new software to replace those CDs. So, I told her I needed to test this new software and she enthusiastically decided to give it a try.

First off, we were very impressed that the whole process is "wizard" driven. You don't really need to know much more than how to click your mouse in order to make this software work!

The first step was to install the software on both PCs - easy enough. Then you attach them with the included USB link cable (just plug it into each PCs USB port). Again, so far, so good.

At this point, we were ready for some decisions. First you have the option to exclude files - say you don't want it to transfer .Tiff files for some reason. Just tell the software not to transfer those We wanted all the data files, so we left this alone. Then it asks you what folders you want to transfer over. This is mostly for your data files, so we left the checkmarks in for all the folders that had data.

Next, and this was the cool part, the software scans the old computer and finds ALL the software that has been installed. It gives you a list with little check boxes so you can select only the programs you want to transfer to the new machine! Now that's slick! I don't know about you, but I have loads of programs on my PC that I never use but haven't bothered to uninstall, so being able to select only the programs I want to transfer is great! April found she only needed about half of the stuff she had on her old computer transferred, so she unchecked everything else. Oh, and it even tells you when you already have the same software on your new PC (this program will not overwrite existing files, so you don't need to worry about data loss).

After all the selecting is done, you simply leave the computer to do its thing. The software will transfer all your files and programs automatically! Depending on how fast your computers are, and how much data you're moving, this can take some time. So, I recommend doing this before you go to bed. When you wake up in the morning, your new computer will be all set to go with all your old software and files on it! That's what we did with April's, and it was just awesome how well it worked. All the programs that we transferred worked perfectly on the new computer - no problems at all - not one, zilch. This software really does the job!! It's awesome!

I'm planning on a new PC sometime next year, but I've been dreading all the reinstalls that go with it. My current PC is something like 5 years old, so I have a HUGE amount of software and data on it. It would take me weeks to get a new PC to the way I like it. With this software, I'll be able to do it a half hour before I go to bed! I love it!!

Oh, and this is cool too. If you're not planning on a new PC right away, don't worry! The software is upgradable to the newest version whenever you decide to make the switch! So, if you're planning on a new PC anytime in the future, grab this title now and stick it on your shelf!

Oh, and I'm not the only one who thinks this is fantastic. Look at the reviews!

All Computer Gear Is NOT Equal

Especially When It's From

SWISSGEAR by Wenger!!

Awesome Hub Turns 1 USB Port Into 4!!

PLUS....

If You're In A Tight Spot And Don't Have Much Room To Plug In

This Will Bail You Out Everytime!!

If their name sounds familiar, it ought to be! Heck, they've been around since 1893! You know these folks as the makers of the original (and genuine!) Swiss Army Knife! They also make the Swiss Army Watches. Guess it was only a matter of time that they'd get into high-quality computer gear! And man does this look COOL or what!

As you might expect, they've added their own "twist" to technology. All their gear is designed to hold up under extreme conditions and "tight spots! And this 4-Port hub is made along those same lines!!

This is not just an "ordinary" hub. What makes this 4-Port hub so different is you that it gives you the room and flexibility to plug just about any USB device into your computer or laptop! First of all, the connector swivels to any angle! It has a patented hi-tech 360 degree connector that gives you all the flexibility you need!

So, let's say you're using a laptop and you need to plug in a USB device but the device is so close to the USB plug, there's no room to plug it in if you have another USB device plugged into your laptop! I've got a device like that. The device is designed to be "compact". Well it's compact all right...so compact that if I plug it in the USB port of my computer, the body of the device doesn't give you any room to plug anything else into the adjacent USB ports!

Well, with this hub by SwissGear, all you have to do is plug the hub into your computer, rotate the connector to whatever angle gives you the most "clearance" and plug in the device! And there's room to plug in three more devices!!!

PLUS, the four ports are arranged so that there's two on each side! So it's laid out to give you even more room and flexibility to easily connect those large devices!.

And all you have to do is plug in your devices 'cuz it's Plug And Play! No messing around with software and all that! And it's 2.0/1.1 compatible so it'll work on any older USB devices you might have too! And to make things even easier for you, we've got a rock-bottom super special for you today of just $10.97 and US shipping is FREE!!!

http://store.worldstart.com/product.php?productid=5151

P.S. The only problem is we were only able to get a very limited supply of these so best not wait 'cuz if you come back later, chances are we'll be out of stock! So grab one now and give yourself and your USB devices some breathing room!!

Q:
I've tried all of your other suggestions when it comes to speeding up my mouse, but I'm just not satisfied. Is there anything else I can do? Please!

A:
I'm sure you're all going to back me up on this one. There are several things that can frustrate you when your mouse is involved. Am I right or am I right? You either can't get your pointer to act the way you want it to or your scroll wheel seems out of whack. Or maybe you just can't get the mouse pointer to look like you want. Whatever the case may be, there's always something you can do to try and change that. Interested? I thought you might be!

Today we're going to focus on the speed of your mouse. You may think that you have your pointer set at the fastest speed possible, but in all actuality, it may feel like you're still being bogged down. With an unsatisfactory mouse speed, you have a harder time getting your work done and even worse, the speed bugs you the whole time you're using your mouse. Well, I'm here to help you change all of that, so here we go!

To increase the speed of your mouse, just follow the directions below.

1.) Go to Start, Control Panel and click the Mouse icon.

Now, keep in mind that if you're using the classic view of the Control Panel, you can click on the Mouse icon right away, but if you're in the category view, you'll need to click on Printers and Other Hardware, then Mouse.

2.) Click on the Pointer Options tab and you will see different areas you can experiment with to change the enhancement of your mouse. The first one is for the Motion speed and this is the one you'll want to look at. Under that, an option to "Enhance Pointer Precision" is shown. Uncheck that and you will see right away how much faster your mouse will go.

That was easy enough, right?! Give it a try for yourself. You'll never be bogged down by your mouse speed again and that's something you can't replace!

MS Office

A Little Rehearsal Can Help A Lot

Do you use MS PowerPoint presentations that are set to advance automatically?

Ever find yourself frustrated as you try to guess just how many seconds to display each slide? I mean, if you are sitting there looking at this...

...and wondering how many seconds to enter into the field (found with Slide Transition information in older versions of PowerPoint & on the Animations tab of the Ribbon in PowerPoint 2007), then maybe, you simply need to consider rehearsing.

PowerPoint has a feature that will let you set the timings for slide advancement while actually going through the slideshow. I've found that I really love this method for initial time settings and that I have to make very few changes from there.

So, if you're interested in this alternative method, read on!

To do a presentation rehearsal and set slide advancement timings, we need to the Rehearse Timings feature. In older version of PowerPoint go to the Slide Show menu, Rehearse Timings choice. For the PowerPoint 2007 people out there you need the Slide Show tab of the Ribbon, Rehearse Timings button.

Everyone should the see your slide show will begin with this toolbar visible:

In the center, you'll see the clock counting the time for the currently displayed slide. When you click to advance the slide, the time will be recorded and start over for the next slide.

The time at the far end is a total time for the presentation. While rehearsing the timings, when you advance and the center timer resets the one on the right will continue to count.

It continues on this way until you either give up with the Esc key or finish setting the timing for each slide in the show.

Need to "tweak" the timings some more?

You can either work on each one manually or run the rehearsal again, with one benefit. If you've got a slide with a good timing, you can press the O key to skip that slide without changing its timing.

That's it. Go through and truly rehearse your presentation with this feature running and the timing will take care of itself!

WOW! Turn Your Laptop Into An Incredible GPS Unit!

Your Days Of Being Lost Are Finally OVER!

WAY More Powerful & Full Featured Than A Windshield Mount Unit...

And Only A Fraction - A FRACTION - Of The Cost!

Can Even Respond To Voice Commands!

Best GPS Navigation Ever! Wait Till You Try It!

We just found the coolest GPS package on the planet! It's DeLorme's EarthMate and it transforms your laptop into an amazing, full featured, voice activated GPS Unit! Really! Works great too!

Using your laptop for an automotive navigation GPS is absolutely incredible - and much easier than it might sound too! If you have a passenger, they can keep the computer on their lap when it's needed, and if you're going solo, just set it on the seat next to you! It accepts voice commands, so you don't even need to touch it (more on that in a minute)! Between getting to use your large laptop screen and all the amazing features packed into this, you'll never, ever consider one of those silly windshield-mount units!

How does it work? Glad you asked! You install the map software on your laptop and plug in the included GPS receiver into your laptop's USB port! That's it! You now have a fully functional GPS system you can take with you! The receiver itself is on a 5' cord, so you can easily set it on your car's dashboard if you like (or use the suction cup for the windshield) - it's small too - about the size of a small wireless flip-phone!

Again, this does the same thing as those little units you can spend hundreds of dollars on - except this uses your computer so it's a LOT more powerful! This puts any hand-held or windshield mount GPS unit I've ever seen to absolute and complete shame! PLUS, wait till you see the price - it's a FRACTION of the cost! And you get to do all your navigating on your laptop screen instead of some small, impossible to read 4" LCD panel! It's amazingly good :-)

Earthmate GPS Receiver & Street Atlas USA 2008

OK, this does a LOT! I could literally take up 10 pages just giving you the highlight show! You'll really have to stop by the website to see everything this can do - way too much to go over here (you'll understand when you see the page), but just to give you a little taste of what's in store for you...

First, input your destination and this will get you there with easy to follow turn by turn directions (audio turn by turn help no less)! Even better, this can respond to voice commands from you so it becomes VERY hands-free! In fact, you can train it so you can say something like "When is my next turn?" and it will answer back something like "Your next turn is in 200 yards". Yeah, it's cool!

Earthmate GPS Receiver & Street Atlas USA 2008

In addition, it also has amazing re-routing help for when you run into traffic jams, you can use voice prompting to ask it where the nearest gas station, hotel, etc is, and you can even scout ahead on the map and have it snap back to your current location! Oh, and did I mention it has a whoppin' 4 MILLION places of interest built right in - gas stations, restaurants, hotels, malls, - you name it! Everything you need on the road!

Yeah those little windshield mounted units are starting to look darn pretty pathetic right about now, don't ya think?

Earthmate GPS Receiver & Street Atlas USA 2008

Oh, and get this - you can also import data into it from spreadsheets and most popular contact managers! If you travel for business, this is amazing - just import your contacts and navigate to any one of them with a couple mouse clicks! You can even enter a phone number and this will do a reverse lookup and find the address for you! WOW!

Using the maps is fantastic too! They are amazingly detailed and just a right-click will tell you exactly what's under your mouse (body of water, street, etc)! It can even get you local radio station information - now THAT's insanely impressive!

OK, you get the idea. Frankly, we only have a limited number of these and if I keep going on we're going end up having way more people who want one than we have available. Bottom line is simply this - if you've been thinking about getting a navigation system or windshield mount GPS unit for your car, THIS is going to blow ALL of the competition away! After all, it all the resources of a full-blown computer at its disposal, so really, it's not even a contest! Imagine having this on your next trip! Oh, and imagine how cool this would be if you had to rent a car somewhere and had no clue where you were going!

Your price is only a FRACTION of what you would pay for a full blown GPS unit too! Just $34.97 and US shipping is FREE! These retail for $70, so it's a huge chunk of change off the regular price! And amazing compared to a $400 GPS unit! Don't miss out!

http://store.worldstart.com/product.php?productid=4934

PS - Seriously - only a limited number available. PLEASE get to the site early. Once these are gone we can't get anymore and I'm not sure if we'll ever see something like this again! Don't miss out!

Tip of the Day

Graphics Card Blues

Have you ever tried to play a game or use software that involves a lot of graphics or anything of the sort, only to get a pop up message telling you that you need to lower your screen resolution? Or, maybe even lower your color quality. Either way, if you have, you probably find this extremely annoying, am I right? Well, this pop up can happen for a number of reasons. Today, I will talk about the top three reasons and I'll also give you some hints on how you can fix the problem yourself.

The first cause of this could be that your graphics card cannot handle such a high screen resolution, color quality or both. Most users who use Windows have their screen resolution set to 800x600, 1024x768 or something relatively close. If you have accidentally set it to something higher, your graphics card may not be able to handle all of that very well. The same goes for the color quality. Most people have it set to a good quality, but some just have it too high. This is one reason why you keep getting that darned old pop up! The way to fix this is very simple though. Here's how:

Simply right click on your desktop and select Properties.

Once you have the Properties window open, select Settings. You will see a screen that looks similar to this screenshot:

That is how I have my computer set up. This is where you can change the screen resolution and color quality if you need to. I would try this method out by setting the resolution and quality to the lowest possible settings. Once you do, make sure you click Apply and then see if your program works. If it does, great! If not, stay calm. There are a couple other things you can try.

The second thing that could stop your program from running correctly is that you don't meet the system requirements needed. I know many programs require you to have a certain amount of RAM memory and whatnot, but some programs need you to have a certain amount of video memory as well. Check the program and see if it lists the system requirements for graphics. If so, the way to check and see if you meet those requirements is rather simple:

Go to Start, Run and type "dxdiag" (without the quotes) into the box.

Once you have made it this far, hit OK. Another window will pop up and look very similar to this:

Click Display at the top and it will turn to a page that will look somewhat like this:

If your page doesn't include too much information inside the Device area, skip to possible solution number 3. If your page does show plenty of information, look to where it says Approx. Total Memory. If this is lower than what your program requires, you are going to have to take some extra steps. You will need to go to a computer store and ask if they have video cards that meet your requirements. Usually, a good computer store will even install them for you. After this is done, you should be able to run the program. If not, please proceed to the next solution.

The third solution is one that many people will have to use if you just upgraded to a different operating systems, rebooted your computer completely or just fired up a brand new computer that hasn't been updated with drivers.

The easiest way to update your drivers it to follow part of the process in the second solution above. Go to Start, Run and type "dxdiag" into the box. Then click Display. You will once again see the screen that should have all your information on it. If it doesn't, you will probably need a driver update. This is a very simple procedure though, so don't panic!

Look in the box that says Drivers. This is the place that should have your information. It might not have a lot, but it should have some. The main place to look for your information is in these highlighted areas:

If there is any information under the Main Driver option, put that and the words "driver download" into the Google search engine (or whatever search engine you like to use).

Click on a result that looks promising. Follow the steps provided and eventually, you should be able to download a driver for your graphics card. Drivers vary from manufacturer to manufacturer and they download differently from different Web sites, so just keep trying to find one. Once downloaded, you will need to let the Install Wizard run. Once the wizard has run, if you do the whole "dxdiag" part one more time, you should see a whole lot of information that wasn't there before. If not, contact your computer manufacturer or if possible, the company that manufactured your graphics card. They will be able to give you the drivers that are most up to date. I hope this tip helps all of you who are in need of getting that one special program to run. Good luck!

Today's Feature

JPEG Compression Basics

As you probably know, JPEGs are the most common type of file format for digital photography. They do a fantastic job at compressing an image and maintaining good quality. For more on image formats, check out:
http://www.worldstart.com/tips/tips.php/546

Now, when you go to save a file as a JPEG, your imaging software may give you some options—that's what we're going to look at today.

The first and most common option is the ever-exciting quality setting. It's usually pretty easy to understand—the higher the number, the better your image will look, but the bigger it will be.

How high you set this will depend on your usage. If you want the best quality, use a higher setting and live with a larger file size. If you're short on space, try one of the medium settings. If you need to send the image to someone on dial-up, be kind and use one of the lower settings. Only you can decide how much quality is "good enough".

Let's look at how much quality is really lost when you go with lower settings. Let's take this image:

Now, here's a close-up of a window at high, medium, and low quality:

1. Highest quality (12):

2. Medium Quality (6):

3. Low Quality (2):

Although the low quality doesn't look so great (still not too bad though), there really isn't much difference between the highest setting and the medium setting. So, keep this in mind next time you're trying to decide how much compression you need.

Also, note that some software will show you how big the finished file will be—really helpful If you're sending it off in an e-mail or using it on a webpage.

OK, that's the standard stuff, but many programs also offer you some format options. Here are the three most common:

Baseline (Standard) — This is your garden variety JPEG. It's just saved as normal, nothing special, yawn.

Baseline Optimized — This is like the above, but you get a little more compression while retaining the same quality. Used to be some web browsers wouldn't support this, but that pretty much went out with Netscape1.0.

Progressive — This is the coolest of the three, at least for web designers. Have you ever been on a website where you saw a picture download in "waves"? You know, at first it's kind of chunky and blurry, then another pass goes by and it looks a little better, then finally it gets nice and sharp? That's what this does.

If you have an option for "progressive", then you probably also have an option for the number of scans—this is simply the number of "waves" the picture needs to go through in order to download.

That's it! Probably more than you ever wanted to know about JPEGs!

Happy shooting!

~ Steve

Amanda's Coolsite

Colorblind Homepage

Are you colorblind? Have you ever wondered why colorblindness occurs? Do you think you are colorblind, but aren’t sure? Well, this site has answers and explanations that will answer all these questions.

What is Colorblindness? – This section covers what colorblindness is and describes the different types. There are four different kinds and they are explained in detail with a color chart for each.

Why Are You Colorblind? – This section discusses the science behind it. Why exactly are people colorblind? It also goes into detail here why more men are colorblind than women. It was a pretty fascinating read.

The next four sections all deal with helping you diagnose children with colorblindness and if they are colorblind, how you can tell, what you should do and how to effectively teach them.

Do you want to test your vision? Well, you can test for colorblindness here at the site with the “I Want to Test my Color Vision” section. You go through several different flashcard type exercises where you should see something if you aren’t colorblind. Don’t worry, they walk you through it! It’s pretty easy.

My favorite section is the one about how the world looks to people who are colorblind. I mean, I’ve always wondered. So, you get to see some of the test examples and such, but under those, there is a link to see how the colorblind see certain color palettes. Click that link and then choose one of the types of colorblindness and watch the palettes change. This gave me a much clearer understanding of how the colorblind see things.

I learned so much from this site. I hope you do too!

Time Is Running Out! Grab This Before They're Gone!

You'll Never Be Able To Get It This Cheap Again - From ANYONE!

WOW! I can't wait to share this one with ya! We just scored an amazing deal on my new favorite software - Iolo System Shield! Let me tell ya, this is NOT your run-of-the-mill Internet Security Suite! This does an amazing job of keeping your computer safe from hackers, spyware, and viruses - but read on, because the way this is implemented is far superior to ANY software like this I've used in the past! This really isn't your typical security suite - and you're gonna love it!  I am personally running this software on my computer and it's by far the best I've used! I can't tell you how impressed I am with this - if you value your safety - and system performance, you've got to check this out!

OK, first off, I know you're probably already running anti-virus, anti-spyware, and a firewall - so why do you want this? Well, the thing that impresses me the most with this software suite is the absolute speed it brings to the table! Not just in scanning and such, but the very real lack of system hogging it does. Most suites like this are horrible - they really slow your system to a crawl - not this one! I uninstalled all my previous security software and tired this instead - WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! Frankly, there's a good chance that if you're currently using Norton, Mcafee, ect, when you replace them with this you're going to think you got a new computer! The difference is THAT dramatic! This speed-up alone is enough reason to switch if you ask me!

Next, I absolutely LOVE how this just runs in the background and stays out of the way. So many security programs love to tell you that they are updating your system, getting new virus definitions, scanning, whatever. It's an all day long affair of acknowledging boxes and virtually patting your software on the back, "Good boy - I'm glad you downloaded some updates!" Well, those annoyances are GONE with this - it just works in the background and updates itself when necessary without dozens of boxes telling you all about it - that alone was enough to make me switch! Of course, if it finds something serious, it'll let you know (all customizable too).

Oh, and let me tell you about the anti-virus - you're gonna love this! First, yes it keeps you safe from e-mail viruses, downloads, and monitors in the background - just like everyone's AV does. However, it's the little things that make you fall in love with this! First, don't you just HATE it when you're working on your computer and the stupid AV software comes up and starts a scan? Slows everything down - what a pain! This software will actually make sure the PC has been idle for a specified amount of time before it scans! It waits till you're away before it starts - is that cool or what??? Oh, and it pauses the scan if the PC starts getting used again! Again, this reason alone is enough to change! In fact, my wife read that and said, "Hey - I want this on my computer! My AV always starts scanning when I'm working!" So, one of my 3 installs is going there!

In addition, the anti-virus can be set to scan all files or just dangerous ones (saving time), can be set to scan all kinds of files, has HOURLY updates, can be set to scan when YOU want, and can even be set to exclude certain types of files if you want! Even scan incoming AND outgoing messages if you want - all fully customizable! Oh, and did I mention that it has a year of UNLIMITED tech support too in case you have trouble? WOW!!

Think that's great? Wait till you see the firewall! Blows Windows firewall away (along with every other firewall as far as I'm concerned)! First off, yes, it keeps hackers out - all firewalls do. But this also protects you in other ways. It can monitor when a program is trying to access the internet and send all your personal info to the mothership. That, to me, is HUGE! You never know if that program you just installed is completely trustworthy - so this keeps you safe!

Another fantastic idea that I'm really excited about is the "Idle Lock" - Get this - you can set it so that if you're not using the computer for a specified amount of time (set by you) that the network locks down - nothing can come in or out! I've always said the most secure internet connection is the one that's unplugged when not in use - and this does that!! Oh, and you can also lock your computer down with the press of a mouse if you like - right from the main page!

This can also show you how many attacks it has blocked, block the attacker's IP address for a specified (by you) amount of time, and has a lot of fully customizable options. Truth is though, that the default settings work fine for me! Oh, and again, this seems like it doesn't slow anything down at all - in fact, if you're using a different firewall, this will probably speed things up! I know one thing for sure, I'm installing this on my laptop for travel - it's just too dangerous to surf using wireless networks without it!

Finally, this also includes a fantastic anti-spyware program! Just like the rest of it, it's really fast, stays out of the way, and just does the job! It automatically updates and scanning is a breeze - and fast too! I don't think I've ever seen a spyware can that was soooo fast - and it did a great job! Found a few minor things that it easily fixed!

OK, that's the main stuff, but I also wanted to mention how much easier to use this is than most other security software. First off, I think 90% of the users out there can just install it and forget it - the default settings are really a nice balance and should work well for just about every computer out there. If you want to change stuff, it's really easy to do and the program has an excellent help file that, quite frankly, most users will never ever need!

The price? You're not going to believe this one - we're talking just $9.97 and US shipping is FREE! This is the current version and retails for $49.95 (check Iolo's site - it's not cheap), so $9.97 is an amazing deal. 1 Year worth of support and updates too! Oh, works on XP, Vista, & Win 2000!

Oh, and get this - it's a 3 user license!! So you can install this on up to 3 different computers! That's way less than $4.00 per computer! Grab a friend or two and have them chip in! For less than $4.00 per computer, you just can't go wrong! It's amazing and it's what I am going to be running from now on!

PS - Seriously, this is simply the best Anti-virus, Anti-Spyware, and Firewall software I've ever used and it's going to be on my machine from now on. My computer is soooo much faster now after getting rid of the other bloated software package I had been using - and this just has soooo many great options! Don't miss out!

Bald River Falls (Photo contest winner)

This picture was taken on a very cold day in November of 2008. Location - Smoky Mtn Nat. Park

 Golden Canyon

This was taken in Death Valley Nat. Park near the overlook at Zabriski Point. It was early morning and the amazing golden light really turned the already gold-colored hills even more yellow.

Yellow Flower

Here's an extreme closeup of a yellow lily (OK, could be an orchid - I don't really know), taken last spring.
