Flaw puts Windows PCs at risk Yesterday, Microsoft released an emergency security patch for Windows. The flaw allows hackers to take over a machine remotely. It has been used in fewer than 100 targeted attacks. XP is most at risk. MySpace, Indie labels kiss and make up Indie labels and MySpace are reaching agreements. The indies were angered when MySpace launched a new service. The big guys got equity in the service. Selling your music online? My column will help! Newspaper site growth not enough Traffic to newspaper sites grew 16 percent in the third quarter. Newspapers averaged more than 68 million visitors. Still, this is not enough to offset declines in print revenue. Doctors create 3-D model of heart Doctors have created a new model of the human heart. It was allegedly posted by an 18-year-old. The SEC is investigating. It may not prosecute unless the teen had a financial motive. Woman arrested for virtual murder A woman killed her husband after he divorced her. The murder, like the marriage, was virtual. Still, the woman was arrested for the computer crime.
