Coupons without the fuss

Cutting coupons is so passé. It's difficult to keep your techie reputation when you're thumbing through the newspaper.

That doesn't mean you have to give up coupons, though. You just need to get with the times.

Valpak is a name that you surely know. The company has been distributing coupons by mail for years.

Now, you can get these same great coupons online! Just enter your ZIP code on the Valpak site and click Go.

You'll get a list of local coupons. You can browse through them all. Or, click on category names to see what's available.

You'll find coupons for local businesses and national chains. If you're looking for a business in particular, enter its name in the search box.

You'll need to print the coupons in order to redeem them. Use the basket feature to print all of your coupons at once. This will help you save ink!

Tough times? I have help

Banks failing. Stocks falling. Families losing their homes. This year has brought us a litany of misery.

This month, an abrupt surge of sad e-mail arrived in my computer. Let me tell you, many of my listeners are hurting.

So, I thought about where I could help. One obvious answer was the Internet. There's a great deal of information on the Web. And I know how to find it. I know where to find free software, too.

Last week, I put together Kim's Money Center. It has lots of links that can help you. And it's easy to find. Just click here. You can also reach it from my home page. Click on Kim's Money Center.
